When you experience hip and knee pain, there are many ways that the pain can be managed. Whilst some diagnoses require surgery to replace the damaged joint, there are other treatments we can consider before we look at surgery.

Knee Replacement
A knee replacement is recommended to help relieve pain and keep you mobile. We may consider a total knee replacement under certain circumstances, but there is also an option for a partial knee replacement. This will depend on the level of pain you are experiencing and how damaged the joint is.
Hip Replacement
A hip arthroplasty is more commonly known as a hip replacement. This type of hip surgery involves replacing the damaged hip joint with an artificial implant, which is made from metal and plastic.
